Just Start...

I always have trouble starting things. I have wanted to get started on this blog for a few weeks and have been obsessing over small details when I should just get started. I haven’t because I really don’t know how to start. I have lists and notes and layouts saved. So I figure I would just start…
I am a 31 year old mother of 2 boys (12 and 4) who is overweight and has been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and have been on medicine for over 5 years. I have come to believe in the last couple of years that the ADD and the weight are related and want to explore this here.
Let me stop here and say…in no way do I blame my weight on ADD/ADHD. That would just be a way out. I just believe that they are related.
Back to my story. My oldest son (12) has also been diagnosed and is on medicine for it. My youngest, while in a lot of ways the polar opposite of my oldest, is well on his way as well. He is wild! Please don’t judge my choice to medicate me and my son. I understand there are strategies that don’t include medication but for us, this is the best choice right now.
So, now I have started and I can move on with the list of topics I want to explore and talk about.
Stay tuned. Things are always changing and a little hectic.
